These past few days have been kind of weird. I won't get into much though, since it deals with slightly emo things. Ever since we got to New Zealand, one person has been assigned to "reflect" during dinner, meaning we just share something we learned our whatever has been on our minds. Well, this trip has been more stressful than I thought it would be (BOO) so I've been acting more detached than I usually do, and one of the teachers pointed it out to me. So when it was my turn to reflect last night I let out why I've been feeling like crap while crying my eyes out in the process, which was really super awkward. I don't think I've ever done that in front of that many people before. . . Yeah. I'm glad I got it out. . . I can almost literally feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders.
SO HAPPIER THINGS NOW, YES?
Alrighty. I vaguely remember mentioning that the university I stayed at while in China was used a lot in the filming of the Chinese version of Boys over Flowers/Hana Yori Dango/Whatever, yes? Well I did, so if you forgot, shame on you! :p And I have pictures! Not many though ~ they're not mine either. I could never remember to keep my camera with me, so I stole pictures from Liz and Valerie. :p
Oh wait, I just remembered something funny! It's totally related, I promise. There was one evening, before we even knew about the filming going on, where a few of us met Amanda and Henry (our Chinese friends) to go to dinner. Amanda told us about running into filming all over campus so Valerie and I kept asking her questions of what it was about. It didn't take too long for us to realize it was another remake of BoF, and we hoped that we'd be able to see some of the filming too. Just a few minutes later, we walked right into one of the sets that was being set up where there were only crew members and some extras dressed in costume. Well. . . I wasn't exactly watching where I was stepping and I ended up tripping over a huge cable that was on the ground. Amanda was right in front of me, so I reached out to try and grab her so I wouldn't fall, but she let out a huge shriek, jumped away, and I fell hard on my knee. At that point, everyone was staring at us. ._. At first, I felt a little mortified, but then I realized the hilarity of the situation. It's not everyday that white people make fools of themselves in the middle of Chinese TV sets. XD I am glad they weren't filming though. . . That would have been awkward. >.>

That guy sitting on the steps is the main dude ~ like Domyouji from the Japanese version (I don't know the Korean names yet!). If any of you have seen the promo pics for the show yet, I swear his hair isn't quite so gravity defying. . . Well, at least not in the scenes I saw. >.>( Liu Xing Yu! )I found out earlier today that on top of the Disney World trip in August, we're also going to New York City in December. Paula and her not-quite-so-brand-new-anymore husband are going too, apparently. I didn't expect that. We rarely travel during the summer ~ the last time was the Disney World trip the summer before I started college. We've never done two big trips in the same year either. . . I don't get it. D: Not that I'm complaining (that would be ridonkulously stupid), it's just not normal.
